How Do I Request My Information Be Removed from the Lee County Property Appraiser Website?

F.S. §119.07 requires that all state, county and municipal records, which are not exempt by law, be open for inpsection and copying by any person. It is the duty of the Lee County Property Appraiser to provide public access to non-exempt records we maintain in the most efficient way possible, preferably by remote electronic access via our website. There are two methods for requesting removal of your information from our website:

  • COURTESY BLOCK

Out of concern for individual privacy, current Property Appraiser policy allows taxpayers to request that their property information be removed/not displayed on our website. Requesting that your information be removed from our website does not stop or protect your information from being provided when it is requested. To request a courtesy block of your personal information, complete the Request for Courtesy Block form.

Please note: once the Courtesy Block has been processed, you will not be able to see your information on our website. In order for you to see your information on our website again, you have to request that we remove the Courtesy Block. To remove the courtesy block of your personal information, complete the Request for Removal of Courtesy Block form.

For questions regarding this information, please e-mail CourtesyBlock@leepa.org, or call (239) 533-6100.

  • EXEMPT FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE

There are specific persons to whom an exemption from public records requirements apply to under the Florida Statutes. If you qualify, you may request that certain personal information for your property be removed from our website and be exempt from public record by the Lee County Property Appraiser’s Office. Please review the current statute(s) and consult with your legal advisors if you have any questions.

To request exemption, complete the Request for Exemption from Public Disclosure form. Each applicant requesting the exemption must complete a separate form and provide the appropriate information and copies of documents and a valid state-issued driver’s license or ID card to support the request.

In the future, if you need to access your information or provide your exempt information to a third party, each protected party will need to complete the Authorization for the Release of Personal Information Exempt from Public Disclosure form.

To request a removal of the Exemption from Public Disclosure from your properties, each protected party will need to complete the Request for Removal of Exemption from Public Disclosure form.

For questions regarding this information, please e-mail PublicDisclosure@leepa.org, or call (239) 533-6100.
